Evangelism Team:In INTERVARSITY, we strive to proclaim and live out the gospel with love and boldness, calling people to repentance, faith and new life in Jesus Christ. Jesus calls each one of his followers to this life of evangelism, and we recognize that it is a great gift from God to be a part of his work of bringing people into relationship with him. Our desire is to see the gospel of Jesus Christ spread on this campus and throughout the world, and we believe that every Christian is to take part in seeing this vision accomplished. The Evangelism Team is about growing in understanding of what it means to live a life of evangelism, to confront obstacles and fears in sharing our faith and to practice evangelism in our lives on campus. Ultimately we long to grow in our obedience to God and want to participate in the establishment of His kingdom, seeing his glory and truth be made known on this campus. We will be meeting twice a month to study God's Word, memorize scripture, serve together, plan service projects and spring break service trips, and lots more! Our main goal will be to live out two of InterVaristy's core commitments. The first is in the area of MISSIONS: We serve God and partner with His people to extend His kingdom cross-culturally on campus and around the world and the second is related to ETHNIC RECONCILIATION AND JUSTICE: We pursue ethnic reconciliation by practicing mutual empowerment, grace and truth and by promoting personal and systemic justice. As a part of the service team we will constantly be going back to these two core commitments as we pursue our own indivudual pursuit of God's heart and passion for His People and lead the rest of the chapter in this goal as well. 1 John 3:16-18 (ESV) By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. If you are interested in joining the Service Team, or just want to learn more about it,

To become good pray-ers, we should know what God's word says about the importance of prayer and how to do it effectively. In prayer team, we will be studying these things, and in time, put them into practice. As we as a team grow together in prayer, we’ll be discussing ways we can equip others in our chapter to grow in their prayer lives as well. Also, we want to grow in our faith in God’s ability and desire to answer prayers, and not just “super-spiritual” people’s prayers, but our prayers too. If you are interested in learning more about prayer, are passionate about prayer, find prayer intriguing, or are anywhere in between,
